I had been underweight all my life and felt weak and very self-conscious about my body. I was also too embarrassed to go to the gym, because I didn’t know how to exercise or where to start. My main goal at first was to feel more comfortable with my body. Working with Hussein, I now feel strong, fit, and confident, so I definitely reached that goal, and in fact I got there a lot faster than I expected to. My new goal as I continue to train is to continue to work on strength and mobility and to develop a better understanding of the body. I want to find out what I am truly capable of.

Hussein did an assessment with me before we started training regularly, and I saw right away that I had a lot to learn! He was not judgemental, so I felt very comfortable with the assessment, and it was a really helpful way to understand how to set realistic goals for myself. I now feel so much more at ease with physical activity on every level. I don’t think twice about carrying my bicycle up a flight of stairs, and I have the confidence to join in group activities such as acrobatics training. I have never felt more comfortable in my own skin than I do now, and I have learned a lot about my body that I had never thought of before. My only regret is that I didn’t start training years ago! Thanks to training with Hussein, I have noticed a huge improvement in my sleep patterns and general mood. The combination of physical activity along with the steady progress toward my goals leads me to feel resilient, optimistic, and energetic. I would have no reservations recommending Hussein as a coach to my friends and family. His expertise, positive attitude, and sense of humour make him a pleasure to work with.
