My biggest fear and obstacle before starting to work with Hussein was that I would fail and that it would be too expensive. I came in with an initial goal to lose 7 lbs in 6 weeks and I have lost 5 pounds so far (5 weeks in). My body does feel more toned than when I started, especially the core. Something I learned is that I have a lot more work to do to get my body where I want it.
As we age, into our 40s and 50s we all struggle with the middle section but something can be done about it. This is something I want to continue to work on. Exercise alone will not achieve my weight loss goals therefore, I have also made diet changes according to Hussein`s recommendations and I have noticed a difference in my clothes and how they fit. Although I am pretty active and enjoy lots of different activities, sitting for most of my day at my desk is becoming an issue. As per Hussein’s recommendation, I will be using a ball to sit on at work and make more effort to get up from my desk and walk around and “shake it“`. I am starting to feel more comfortable in my own skin and know more about my own body compared to before I started with HSL.
Coming to see Hussein and working out at lunch definitely reduced the stress during my day. I have a crazy busy job and could basically work all day without a break (which I have done). Going to train with Hussein forces me to get out and do something good for myself. I would definitely recommend Hussein to a few friends who really need the improvements. The good thing is that most of the exercises I learned I can do at home. I am pretty happy with the training I received. The breathing exercises have helped me sleep better at night and I find the stretching a workout in itself. I now feel motivated to make some lifestyle changes. I have not been successful in achieving this on my own so thanks to HSL Fitness.
