Simply put, Hussein is a really excellent trainer. The first words that I’d choose to describe him would be: attentive, intelligent, respectful, adaptive and cheerful.
It’s been a pleasure to work with him over the past year to help heal an old hip injury and improve my overall strength so I can get out to cross-country ski and jog more. Last year’s goal was to heal my hip enough to ski at a 30km section of the Canadian Ski Marathon with my daughter – and, thanks in large part to Hussein, my daughter and I were able to do that together last February 🙂
I’ve been really impressed by the attention and careful consideration Hussein gives to each client’s unique situation. He listens carefully and adapts his approach to really fit each person’s needs. In my case, he not only worked out a plan tailored to my initial hip injury, and re-jigged it again to help heal my shoulder after I fell on it skiing, but he voluntarily visited my physiotherapist to collaboratively work out a plan to help me recover form these injuries.
I haven’t typically liked gyms, but Hussein has made me feel much more comfortable and confident there. He has taught me to pay careful attention to my body and breath, and has given me really valuable insights into how to improve some of my daily habits. He is always respectful and gentle, and offers really thoughtful advice and guidance.
I’d be happy to recommend HSL to anyone looking for a dedicated, smart, and highly-effective trainer.
